Bio
I have had ADHD my entire life, and like many people over the age of 40, spent many years struggling to learn to work productively with the condition before it was correctly diagnosed. In spite of this I graduated Ransom-Everglades School in Miami, Florida, was an undergraduate at Brown University, and attended graduate school at the University of Florida, receiving an MFA in Creative Writing and completing the coursework for a doctorate in English.
I have taught English composition and creative writing at the undergraduate level, and have taught English and History to grades 7 - 12, including to students with learning disabilities. Along with this, for the last ten years have worked extensively as a standardized test tutor. I was originally trained by Kaplan. I also tutor regular subjects, and have been tutoring exclusively for the last year.
